I wanted to make a little crochet whale, and I wanted him to be a bit round. I believe it looks pretty well. This pattern is crocheted in the round.
The materials I used were a 3.5 mm hook, safety eyes from amazon, big twist posh yarn and the pink is the picture is parfait chunky and a tapestry needle
I attached the Safety eyes in between rounds 5 and 6; I did this after the first row of decreases, and this is also where I started stuffing.
Abbreviations: SC- Single Crochet INC- Increase Dec- Decrease CH- chain DC- Double Crochet HDC- half double crochet TC- Triple Crochet SL ST-Slip stitch ST-stitch F/O Finish off
Round 1) 8 ST in a magic ring (8) Round 2) INC in each ST (16) Round 3) 1 SC in first ST, INC in next stitch *repeat for round* (24) Round 4) INC in first ST, 1 SC in next 2 ST *repeat for round* (32) Round 5-8) SC all around Round 9) DEC with first 2 ST, SC in next 2 ST *repeat for round* (24) Round 10) 1 SC, DEC with the next 2 ST *repeat for round* (16) Round 11) DEC all around
Fins- CH 5, in second chain from hook, SC in first CH, HDC in next CH, DC in next CH, TC in last chain, F/O (Make 2)
Tail- In Magic Ring; SC, HDC, DC, TC, SL ST, SC, HDC, DC, TC, SL ST and F/O
